A Tokyo local, a professional Japanese teacher, and a genuine otaku who's watched over 1,500 series. I've spent years helping people around the world fall for Japan — first through the language online, and then in person, walking the streets of Akihabara together.
I'm not an agency and I don't outsource. When you learn or explore with me, it's actually me — planning your day, picking the shops, and geeking out over the shows we both love.
Teaching is the day job, and it's why the tours work the way they do. Every day I explain Japanese to people who are meeting it for the first time, which is exactly the skill a traveller needs on a street corner: not a lecture, just the one sentence that unlocks the next five minutes. I teach Japanese and English one-to-one on italki, and I record podcasts in Japanese on the side — talking is genuinely what I do all day.
